For the sixth consecutive year, the Council of the Tennis Club Kordin has the pleasure to announce ‘THE HAMILTON TRAVEL DOUBLES’ TENNIS TOURNAMENT’ kindly sponsored by “Hamilton TRAVEL - MALTA” of Floriana, agents and operators for travelling.  This tournament will be held between the 24^th.May and the 14^th.of July 2005. Matches will played every Tuesday and Thursday.

Members are informed that this tournament shall consist of “Men’s Doubles and Ladies’ Doubles. Teams shall be placed in groups according to their playing standard.

METHOD OF APPLYING:

Applications are to be received ON LINE by not later than the 1^st.May 2005.

Partners are to apply separately, each one specifying the other person’s name as a partner.The first person of a double’s team to apply will not be charged immediately (application will be pending). Both players will be charged when the second partner applies. The application will not go through if either one of the partners does not have enough funds at that time.

The same partner may be nominated by more than one player. This player then decides with whom to confirm the application.

CONDITIONS

The team that wins two sets out of three will be declared the winner. Tie-break will be played in all sets. Two points will be awarded to the winner of two sets.

Where teams finish with equal points, the winner of the direct encounter will determine the final position in the table. In the event that the situation remains one of equality, the difference between games won and lost (of all the matches) will be taken into consideration.

Postponed matches, which are only allowed in extreme cases, must be played before he end of the tournament. Points for matches not played by the end of the tournament will be forfeited.

Players who scratch, or give two or more walkovers without valid reason, will be summoned before the Board of Discipline

Tennis balls,acceptable to the opponents, must be provided by the players shown on the left-hand side of the fixture.
