Members are informed that this tournament shall consist of “Men’s Doubles and Ladies’ Doubles. Teams shall be placed in groups according to their playing standard.

 

The team that wins two sets out of three will be declared the winner. Tie-break will be played in all sets. Two points will be awarded to the winner of two sets.

Where teams finish with equal points, the winner of the direct encounter will determine the final position in the table. In the event that the situation remains one of equality, the difference between games won and lost (of all the matches) will be taken into consideration.

 Postponed matches, which are only allowed in extreme cases, must be played before the end of the tournament. Teams, who for special reasons postpone a match, are responsible to inform the organizing committee and consult with opponents to re-fix the Rubber and book a court on a weekday to play the encounter. Payment of court will be the responsibility of the team postponing the match. Point for matches not played by the end of the tournament will be forfeited by the team who first postponed the match from its original date.

 

Players who scratch, or give two or more walkovers without valid reason, may be summoned before the Board of Discipline

 

Tennis balls, acceptable to the opponents, must be provided by the players shown on the left-hand side of the fixt

METHOD OF APPLYING:

Applications are to be received ON LINE by not later than Sunday 29th APRIL 2007. Partners are to apply separately, each one specifying the other person’s name as a partner.The first person of a double’s team to apply will not be charged immediately (application will be pending).  Both players will be charged when the second partner applies.

It is not permissible to nominate a partner that has already filed an application in the same tournament. However, the same partner may be nominated by more than one player. This player then decides with whom to confirm the application.
