“PROTRADE LTD”. MIXED DOUBLES TENNIS TOURNAMENT - 2010

The annual Mixed Doubles’ Tennis Tournament which will be held at TCK, between the 9^th.January and 22^nd .February 2009, will this year be sponsored once again by “PROTRADE Ltd.”, suppliers of furniture fittings, tools and timber, of Triq Is-Sebh, Qormi. The Council of the Club would like to take this opportunity to thank the Directors of this firm for the continuous support they give to TCK.

Matches will be played on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays. A ‘Walk-Over,’ will be given after fifteen (15) minutes grace from the original starting-time provided, the allocated court is available.

Postponed matches, which are only allowed in extreme cases, must be played before the end of the tournament. Teams, who for special reasons postpone a match, are responsible to inform the organizing committee and consult with opponents to re-fix the Rubber and book a court on a weekday to play the encounter. Payment of court will be the responsibility of the team postponing the match. The team who first postponed the match from its original date will forfeit points, for matches not played by the end of the tournament.

A match consist of two sets with a tie-break at 6 all and when the score is one set all a Match TIE-BREAK UP TO 10 (not 7) WITH ADVANTAGE OF TWO POINTS will be played instead of a third set. One point will be awarded for every set won and also for the Tie-Break when applicable

Where teams finish with equal points, the winner of the direct-encounter will be declared the winner of the group. In the event that the situation remains one of equality, the difference between games won and lost, of all encounters, will be taken into consideration.

The players shown on the left-hand side of the fixtures must provide Tennis Balls, accepted to the opponents.
